Templo de Santa Veracruz
The temple was built in honor of the Holy Christ of Veracruz.
This is one of the most venerated images in Taxco, known by the locals as "El General." In fact, this image leads the procession of the Christs during Holy Week.
The original parish church was built in 1568, but the current building dates back to the 18th century.
Most of the interior decoration has been modified, but two notable images stand out: the Christ of the Seven Veils and the Virgin of Remedies.
In the Santa Veracruz Square, in front of the temple, there are dancing fountains that operate on weekends, adding to the attractions of this Magical Town.
