This temple belonged to the former Convent of Santa Mónica.
It was built in the 16th century, although it has undergone some remodeling over the years
The interior predominantly showcases a neoclassical style from the 19th century, but also includes some paintings from previous centuries.
Pilgrims from all over the city come to visit the image of Christ on the way to Calvary, known as Nuestro Padre Jesús de las Maravillas, the most venerated image in the city.
Adjacent to it, you can visit the former Convent of Santa Mónica, which has been transformed into the Museum of Religious Art.
