Templo de San Juan de Dios

This church venerates San Antonio de Padua.

It was built in the mid-18th century and occupies the site of a chapel dedicated to Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados (Our Lady of the Forsaken).

It is one of the few churches in the city with a Latin cross plan, a portal-shaped vestibule, and a vault shaped like a seashell.

Location

West side of San Juan de Dios Square, on Av. Hidalgo, Centro Histórico, CDMX.
