Templo de San Francisco (Temple)
Built-in 1799, its façade is a mix of Baroque and Neoclassical styles.
It is also known as the Temple of San Francisquito and was built on a small chapel dedicated to San Francisco de Paula.
The façade features a medallion at the top, under a cross, with the inscription "Cáritas bónitas," a phrase that is the emblem of the Order of the Minims, the religious order to which the saint to whom the temple is dedicated belonged. It means charity and goodness.
Inside, you can admire paintings by the architect Tresguerras and a figure of San Francisco de Paula.
The temple's doors are usually closed and only open during Masses.
It is located in an area with many shops.
