Templo de los Hospitales
Almost hidden on the north side of the university, you can find the city's first parish.
This construction was conceived as a chapel annexed to the hospital for Tarascan indigenous people.
It was built from 1560 to 1565, and the Virgin of Guanajuato was venerated. Right at the top of the small façade, there is a sculpture of Our Lady of Guanajuato, guarded on both sides by angels.
In 1913, the image of the Immaculate Mary was brought from Europe, and it is currently the Virgin that is venerated.
