The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a blessed temple dating back to 1875.
It holds great significance for the city and features a large and impressive atrium from where one can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city of León.
Its facade is semicircular and is topped with a dome. It has another large dome covering the transept.
The main altar is carved in wood, and the imposing tabernacle with columns stands out.
Since 1876, the tradition of the "Día de inditos" (Day of the Little Natives) is celebrated here. On January 12th, children and adults dressed in cotton clothes, huaraches, and carrying huacales with food offerings to the Virgin of Guadalupe.
