Sala Museográfica del Petroglifo Profesor Antonio Magaña Tejeda

The museum has an interesting collection of volcanic stones carved and polished by ancient inhabitants of Colima.

These pieces have been collected over more than 30 years by Professor Antonio Magaña Tejeda.

The stones come in small, medium, and large formats, arranged in a harmonious manner. The exhibition highlights funerary mound shapes, representations of the god Tláloc, as well as metates and small polished stones with pointed ends.

The description of the objects is written in Nahuatl, Spanish, and English.

Location

Libertad No. 9, Centro, Cuauhtémoc, Cuauhtémoc, Colima. It is located in the Cuauhtémoc Cultural Center, approximately 8 km, about a 15-minute drive from the city center of Colima.
