They are located to the west of the Zócalo, where merchants have been established since the beginning of the colonial era.
During the Viceroyalty, products brought from the Philippines by the famous Nao de China were sold here.
Construction of this beautiful arcade began in 1527, and in 1532, the first clothing stores owned by Gonzalo Ruíz were installed.
They are made of tezontle and house numerous jewelry stores.
The upper part houses the Legislative Assembly, and there are offices for several local deputies.
