Su nombre se debe a que se ubica en la contraesquina del viejo convento franciscano.

This peaceful and beautiful square features a small fountain in the center and a bust of Doña Margarita Maza de Juárez, wife of Benito Juárez. 

On one side stands the Portal de Salazar, curious because its arches have varying widths. 

A pottery market is set up in this square on Friday mornings.
