Parroquia de Santa Teresa la Nueva
This building was formerly a leper hospital and dates back to 1715. It is located in front of Plaza Loreto.Â
Its facade is Baroque and features twin doors. Inside, the original altarpieces were replaced with Neoclassical ones.Â
At the back of the church, where the nuns in seclusion listened to the Mass, there is a surprising relic that displays the disembodied body of Saint Celeste.
It is currently the National School for the Blind and hosts workshops and special courses for the visually impaired.
