Parque Tomás Garrido Canabal
The circular and cylindrical shapes, the use of pre-Hispanic colors, and the materials used provide a regional congruence to the park and harmony to its architecture. The sculptural sets, such as the arc quadrangle, the champa, the pergola, and the eagle viewpoint, are reminiscent of Tabasco's history and the original conception of the park.
This spacious and beautiful park is located next to the La Venta Museum Park, on the shores of Laguna de las Ilusiones. It offers the incomparable scenery of the lagoon as a backdrop to its beauty and occupies the area where the annual Tabasco fair took place for many years.
It features various spaces for reflection, reading, arts education, and outdoor performances. The park covers an area of over six hectares and includes areas for sports such as hiking and rowboat rides, as well as diverse playgrounds.
El parque se extiende sobre una superficie de más de seis hectáreas y cuenta también con zonas para la práctica de deportes como el senderismo y paseos en lanchas de remos, así como variados juegos infantiles.
In the center stands the Mirador de las Águilas (Eagle's Viewpoint), towering at 50 meters high, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the entire park and Laguna de las Ilusiones.
There are also other areas such as a large hall, an open-air theater, and a salon used for various events.
