El panteón fue inaugurado en el siglo XIX, es un espacio plagado de símbolos y misticismo, se le conoce como “La Ciudad de la Muerte.”

Night tours are offered, lasting approximately 90 minutes, which are highly appealing as they allow visitors to learn about the history of some important figures resting here and experience the thrill of exploring these eerie spaces.

Adjacent to the cemetery is the Mummies Museum, reminiscent of the one in the city of Guanajuato. It exhibits 23 mummified bodies in its various rooms, dating from different periods and with different stories and legends that you can discover during the tour. Each mummy has been named in reference to their lives, such as "The Soldier," "The Beauty of the Town," "La Catrina," and "El Chaparrito," to name a few.
