Nuevo Seminario Tridentino
The Tridentine Seminar Building is a neoclassical-style building constructed by the second Archbishop of Michoacán, José Ignacio Arciga, in 1859.
The objective of the construction was to house a new seminary to replace the one that operated in the current Government Palace.
It functioned as such until 1914 when Governor Gertrudis Sánchez closed the seminary, and a year later, it was converted into a normal school, which operated until 1941 when it became the "Pascual Ortiz Rubio" Preparatory School of the Michoacan University.
