The Underwater Museum was inaugurated by Jean Michel Cousteau as part of the event called Cozumel Sucuba fest Diving Festival.

It consists of an underwater museum that aims to provide an additional attraction to the beautiful coastal waters of Cozumel.

This effort seeks to pay tribute to the depths' enthusiasts and those who have left a legacy in the history of diving, such as Ramón Bravo, Dr. Earle, and Jacques Cousteau himself. Each of these individuals has bronze busts submerged at depths ranging from three to five meters.
