Cuitláhuac Regional Community Museum

It exhibits pieces found in the area by the community, as well as over 500 pieces provided by the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History) to form the museum.

It consists of three exhibition halls that cover different themes. The pre-Hispanic part showcases clay and stone pieces, as well as jade objects and arrowheads. The colonial part exhibits pottery vessels, candlesticks, photographs, and objects that were part of the Tláhuc temples. The third part focuses on customs and traditions, recreating the way of life of the community's inhabitants.

Notable are five pre-Hispanic braziers found in the San Pedro Tláhuac area while the owner was cultivating the land. These clay containers are of significant size and have rich ornamentation. These are replicas, as the original pieces are exhibited in the National Museum of Anthropology.

The objects represent five deities: Chicomecóatl, mother of our sustenance; Xilonen (Cinteocíhuatl), lady of tender corn; Tonacatecuhtli, lord of our sustenance; Chalchiuhtlicue, deity of lakes and water currents (this is the only incomplete piece); and Tláloc, deity of water. The representation of these objects highlights the importance the Mexicas attributed to agricultural activities.
