Museo Regional Casa del Alfeñique
This 18th-century house is one of the most interesting in the city.
It was built by the master architect Antonio Santamaría Incháurregui.
It owes its name to its abundant and fine white stucco ornamentation, resembling the famous Puebla sugar sweets called alfeñiques.
Inside this beautiful building, a large number of artistic objects are exhibited, narrating the historical and cultural development of Puebla, including 16th-century indigenous codices, oil paintings, Spanish armor, blueprints, photographs, paintings, carriages, and a collection of antique dresses, notably those of the china poblana.
