Museum of Memory and Tolerance
It is part of the urban center Plaza Juárez, an architectural complex located in front of the Alameda.
Its modern design integrates with its surroundings, and inside, the space unfolds around a covered central courtyard.
The tour starts on the top level, from which you descend in a spiral to visit the different rooms that address the darkest aspects of humanity through videos, models, original belongings of the victims, with a prominent exhibit of a train car used to transport Jewish prisoners to Nazi extermination camps.
There is a huge cube floating in the emptiness of the courtyard, covered with vegetal patterns designed by the artist Jan Hendrix. Inside, it houses the "Children's Memorial," a space dedicated to reflecting on the lost potential of all those who couldn't continue their lives.
The third level is dedicated to tolerance.
The museum offers workshops, temporary exhibitions, a library, an auditorium, a bookstore, and a café.
