Museo Maya de Cancún
A cutting-edge building covering 1,350 m2.
At the Mayan Museum of Cancun entrance, the remains of up to 14,000-year-old bones, discovered in the past 12 years in flooded caves in Tulum, are exhibited. It features a collection of 350 pieces from various Mayan sites, distributed across its three rooms.
The first room of the museum is dedicated to the archaeology of Quintana Roo, the second provides an overview of the Mayan civilization, and the third room is dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
It offers information in Spanish and English, a bookstore, café, educational services, and a nursing room.
