Regional Historical Museum "Ex Cuartel de la Compañía Fija"
This is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
The building that houses the museum corresponds to the former Ensenada Barracks, built between 1886 and 1887.
The museum's objective is to learn, preserve, and disseminate the history of the region. It features traveling exhibitions and archaeological artifacts: Mesoamerica and Baja California, peoples and cultures of Ancient Mexico. Exhibitions include "Hunters and Gatherers of the World" and "Remains of the Mammoth."
