Museo del Pueblo de Guanajuato

It is a colonial building from the 17th century that belonged to the Marqueses de Rayas and was declared a Museum and Cultural Center in 1979.

It has three floors of exhibitions. On the ground floor, there is a unique collection of Mexican miniatures; works from the 18th and 19th centuries, including portraits by Herrera, Cabrera, and Bernal del Castillo; and a room dedicated to the Guanajuato painter Hermenegildo Bustos.

The other two floors are dedicated to temporary exhibitions. It also has a chapel decorated with fresco murals by Master José Chávez Morado.

Cuenta también con una capilla, decorada con murales pintados al fresco por el maestro José Chávez Morado.
