Museo del Palacio de Gobierno, Salas Carranza

Located inside the Government Palace.

On its two floors, it presents the history of the state from Independence to modern times through audiovisual media.

The exhibition includes objects from indigenous cultures that inhabited the region, as well as pieces related to Independence, the American invasion, the French intervention, the Reform, and contemporary history.

Notable items include a sword from the Spanish navy during the time of Carlos III, a cannon used in the French invasion, coins from the Iturbide empire, and a copy of a newspaper from the time of the Revolution.
