Desert Museum
The Desert Museum was inaugurated in 1999 with the aim of showcasing the extraordinary richness of desert life.
Specifically, the Chihuahuan Desert, the largest in North America, encompassing ten states in Mexico: Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Durango, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, and parts of Hidalgo, Querétaro, and Aguascalientes, as well as two states in the United States: New Mexico and Texas.
The exhibition is divided into four pavilions:
First Pavilion:
Featuring interactive video displays and collections that describe the origin of deserts, their characteristics, and natural phenomena.
Second Pavilion:
Focuses on the relationship between desert dwellers and their environment.
Third Pavilion:
Dedicated to mammals in the desert.
Fourth Pavilion:
Showcasing various exhibitions centered around desert ecosystems.
