Museo del Calzado

It is unique in Latin America. El Borceguí is the oldest shoemaker in Mexico, operating since 1865.

Shoes of all kinds from around the world, traditions, superstitions, customs, etc., can be admired in this museum.

With an original collection of over 2,000 shoes from different periods and regions. You can see the sandals worn by ancient Egyptians; examples of high-heeled shoes, like those worn by Louis XIV, the French Sun King in rococo style (1730), made of embroidered silk; Swiss slippers from 1760, as well as a large number of famous shoes worn by celebrities, from Chabelo to Marilyn Monroe. Boots, English ankle boots from the early 20th century, lasts, miniature shoes of all styles and designs made of wood, porcelain, crystal, silk.

This is a museum that showcases the steps taken in history. Fashionistas and fetishists will delight at the styles organized by decades.
