Museo se Sitio, Ex Hacienda La Ferrería (Site Museum)

This house belonged to the wealthy landowner Juan Nepomuceno Flores and was rebuilt in the late 19th century.

It was built on the grounds of an old iron foundry where the metal extracted from the mine located on Cerro del Mercado was transformed.

Currently, you can visit the ruins, which have been adapted to the beautiful natural setting. In the garden, there is a beautiful archway that leads to the patio, where you can still see the old company store and remains of what used to be the foundry.

In the hacienda, there is a site museum that offers two rooms with a collection of pieces found during the excavations of the La Ferrería archaeological site, although pieces from other areas of Zacatecas are also exhibited.

Through these pieces, you can learn more about the customs and ritual life of the Chalchihuite culture. It has a gift shop.
