Museo de Mineralogía

The Mineralogy Museum is located in the Ex Convent of Carmen.

If you're interested in geology, this is the ideal place, as it houses over 10,000 pieces collected by scientist Miguel Romero, although only 394 are currently exhibited.

The museum's display includes fragments of meteorites, beautiful crystals, exotic minerals, and even ancient fossils. The museum is divided into two sections: one exhibits rocks, fossils, and meteorites, while the other showcases a wide variety of Mexican minerals.

This collection, classified by chemical composition, is so important that it has received international awards and recognition.

The museum also has a store where regional crafts are sold.
