The Mexican Music Museum is a place that tells the story of music in Mexico from pre-Hispanic times to the present day.
The museum pays tribute to Rafael Tovar y de Teresa, a thinker and diplomat dedicated to promoting Mexican culture.
It has several thematic rooms: The Mexican Experience, Viceregal Music, Music for a Better World, Villancicos, Gloria In Excelsis Deo, Birth of a Nation, Romantic Mexico, Art and Color, Opera, Bésame Mucho, New Horizons, Chronology, and the Music Instrument Museum of Phoenix.
It also has rooms for temporary exhibitions.
