Museo de la Marimba

The museum was created to give special recognition to the marimba, an emblematic instrument of the country and especially Chiapas.

It has five rooms, a marimba production workshop, and an audiovisual hall.

There are four electronic kiosks, two for information and two for audioteca where visitors can listen to famous pieces performed by various marimba players.

A unique feature of the museum is an electronic keyboard on the floor that simulates the keys of a giant marimba.

Location

Calle 9ª Poniente Norte No. 115 (Frente al Parque Jardín de la Marimba), Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chis.
