Museo de Arte Colonial (MAC)

The Colonial Art Museum is housed in an 18th-century house of great historical and architectural value.

The exhibition includes works from the Viceroyalty period, documents, antique books, religious ornaments, period maps, paintings, polychrome wooden pieces, and cornstalk paste crucifixes from the evangelization era.

Highlights include two collections: a collection of easel paintings from the colonial period signed by renowned Oaxacan artists Miguel Cabrera and Miguel Herrera, and a collection of over one hundred Christs made between the 16th and 19th centuries.
