The Museum of Maya Culture combines history with modern technology.

El museo cuenta con equipos de informática y multimedia digital. De esta forma, el visitante conoce los detalles de los asentamientos de esta gran cultura prehispánica.

The museum is organized into eight rooms:

I The Mayab and Its People: Describes the historical location, habitat, language, and explains the process of settlement.

II Between the Mountain and the Sea: Explores the relationship between humans and nature, as well as the cultural results of this relationship through steles, videos, models, and illustrations.

III The Place of Thrones and Seats: Focuses on the architecture, both ceremonial and urban, of the Mayan cities.

IV The Corn People: Refers to the economic activities that characterized the Mayan production process, such as hunting, fishing, gathering, agriculture, and trade.

V This room explains the symbolic connection between humans and the world. It presents the mythical origin, funerary customs, and the central figure of the ceiba tree, which linked the underworld, the human world, and the celestial sphere.

VI The Wisdom of the Ancients: Showcases the knowledge that the Maya developed about the stars, time, numbers, and writing.

VII The Foreigners: Explores the presence of cultural contacts with other peoples, such as the Teotihuacans, the Mayan-Putunes, and groups affiliated with the Toltec civilization.

VIII The Twilight of the World: The presence and activity of the Spanish conquerors mark the end of the museum's narrative and the beginning of the prophecies that predicted darkness.

In addition, the museum facilities house the Chilam Balam de Tiusuk Library Room, which preserves valuable documents about the region's history, as well as a comprehensive newspaper archive.

The museum offers guided tours in Spanish and English, educational services, temporary exhibition rooms, an auditorium, and a gift shop.
