The mission was founded in 1720, about 40 km south of Mulegé.
The foundation was carried out by the Jesuit father Everardo Helen, and the construction was financed by the Marquis of Villapuente de la Peña.
Due to diseases and other reasons, the mission was abandoned in 1795, and the survivors were relocated to the Mission of La Purísima de Cadegomó.
Currently, only some ruins remain.
Location
It is located in the Sierra de la Giganta, in a place known as Guadalupe de la Sierra, west of San Bruno, B.C.S. Approximately 40 km west of Mulegé.
