It covers eight hectares of cloud forest. It serves as a living museum showcasing the flora and fauna of the region.

The garden offers a wide variety of native and exotic ornamental flowers, a pond with aquatic and subaquatic plants, an area featuring cloud forest (formerly a coffee estate), a Palmetum containing palms from different parts of the world, and a Pinetum composed of various species of gymnosperms such as Araucarias and oyamels.

It is an ideal place for picnics, and the botanical garden regularly organizes artistic events, workshops, and competitions.
