Iglesia de San Hipólito
A construction better known as the Church of San Judas Tadeo.
Famous for its image of San Judas Tadeo, the temple dates back to 1521, although it has undergone several modifications.
The façade has a classicist style and is composed of three levels and two towers. In the atrium, there is a monument sculpted by architect José Damián Ortiz de Castro, which depicts an eagle lifting an indigenous person in its claws. This monument was created as a tribute to the Spanish who fell during the "Noche Triste" (Sad Night).
Currently, on October 28th, the feast day of San Judas Tadeo, it becomes one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the city.
