Ex Hacienda El Copal
This building has a history of over 400 years.
The hacienda supplied the mining areas and convents, covering an area of 14,596 hectares.
The hacienda has nine pink quarry arches and a chapel with a bell tower dedicated to San José.
Currently, it houses the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (ICA) of the University of Guanajuato and is used for temporary exhibitions.
The magnificently preserved farmhouse is used as a cactus garden.
Location
It is located at the entrance of the El Copal community and is very well preserved.
