Fuente del Torito
The "Fountain of the Little Bull” is one of the most typical fountains in Pátzcuaro and has its own legend.
According to the story, which has been passed down from generation to generation, the fountain was subjected to a trial because a rider, allegedly a Spanish army officer, crashed here after losing control of his horse.
The city authorities accused the fountain of homicide and sentenced it to be moved to another location.
Today, although it has been slightly moved from its original place, the fountain still provides water.
