It's a place dedicated to preserving and promoting a sound collection consisting of over 68,000 sound recordings.

There are music archives from different periods, ranging from pre-Hispanic, Independence, Revolution, to the 20th century. There are also various genres such as indigenous music, electronic music, children's music, and popular music.

The library has a Digital Consultation Room, a Physical Consultation Room, and a Recording Studio.
