Ex Convento de San Andrés Apóstol en Epazoyucan

It is located in the cloister of the former Convent of San Andrés Apóstol.

It was built in 1540 by Augustinian friars in Epazoyucan, which means "where epazote abounds."

The architectural complex features various decorative and artistic motifs that clearly show the blend of two cultures. The exquisite carved columns and polychromatic murals depicting scenes like the Passion of Christ, the Last Supper, and the Assumption of the Virgin stand out.

The museum's rooms exhibit an interesting collection of 1,700 archaeological pieces and objects from the viceregal era.

Location

Benito Juárez s/n Epazoyucan, Hidalgo (24 km de Pachuca).

Horarios
