The School of Talavera was built around 1677.
It was a cloister, enclosed on all four sides by semicircular arches.
One of its peculiarities is that on the exterior, there is a plaque indicating that the Plan de Iguala, which Agustín de Iturbide was unable to print anywhere else, was printed in the private press of the priests of La Concordia.
During colonial times, artisans from Talavera de la Reina brought their ceramic techniques to Puebla. Today, dozens of workshops and studios in the city continue to produce tiles and vessels in the vibrant colors of the Talavera style.
