The museum is located in the Ex Hacienda de la Teneria, within Tangamanga I Park.

It has an interesting collection related to the 19 protected natural areas of San Luis Potosi.

You can find materials or settings from Wirikuta, the Ogarrio tunnel, the Sierra de Alvarez, the forested Sierra de Xilitla, the Media Luna, or the Sotano de las Golondrinas, to mention a few.

Regarding the downtown area, monumental dams such as San Jose are represented.

There is an area dedicated to the Huasteca region, where all the natural wonders of this region are discussed.
