The College of San Ignacio de Loyola Vizcaínas was founded in the 18th century and it is a beautiful colonial building.
Formerly a charity school for poor girls, the building is a fine example of colonial art.
Its facade is in the Baroque style, and its four sides are covered in tezontle stone. The sections of the building are divided by pilasters topped with pinnacles.
It consists of four main courtyards connected by a monumental staircase. The chapel preserves its Churrigueresque altarpieces.
