Casa de la Cultura Reyes Heroles
The house dates back to the 18th century.
Initially, the site housed a small paper factory. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, it served as a residence.
It is one of the largest typical mansions in the area, distinguished by its irregularly distributed windows on the facade.
One of its notable features is the beautiful atrial cross, which has been preserved since the early years.
The Reyes Heroles House of Culture now occupies the premises and is named after the renowned historian and political scientist Jesús Reyes Heroles.
The house features spacious gardens, several rooms used for workshops, three art galleries (Alfredo Ramos, Guillermo Kahlo, and Miguel Álvarez Acosta), and two multipurpose rooms.
The House of Culture hosts ongoing art exhibitions, concerts, courses, and workshops.
There's also a pleasant cafeteria where you can enjoy the atmosphere and landscape.
