Casa Colorada (Red House)
This name is given to a beautiful colonial-era building.
It is located at the site that historians identify as the first Spanish settlement in the Valley of Mexico, namely, Hernán Cortés' military camp during the conquest's final stages.
It is also known as the House of Malinche, but it is known that it couldn't have belonged to this historical figure as the structure dates back to the 18th century.
It is one of the typical houses in Coyoacán and one of the oldest buildings in the area.
It has a façade made of tezontle and mortar and is painted red.
