It was built on land that once belonged to a colonial mill.
It is a small architectural gem completed on April 30, 1789.
The exterior is very picturesque with walls covered in tiles and brick. Another notable feature is the balustrade that gracefully winds around its exterior. It has two bell towers.
Inside, the walls are adorned with Puebla-style tile paneling, and the altarpiece with estipite columns reflects light thanks to the mirrors that decorate it.
