Capilla de la Cruz Blanca
Here, the evangelization of the Valley of Atemajac began on March 25, 1530.
It is also the place where the first mass in Western Mexico was held, as the Franciscans accompanying Nuño de Guzmán wanted to thank the "divine" intervention in the triumph of the Spanish troops.
The religious rite was officiated by Fray Miguel de Padilla, Fray Ignacio de la Vega, and Fray Francisco de Zamora.
On the back of the chapel, a high-temperature ceramic painting was placed, reproducing the plate from the Lienzo de Tlaxcala that refers to the arrival of the Spanish in Tonalá.
