Museo de Sitio de La Quemada (Site Museum)La Quemada Site Museum

The design of the building was intended to integrate it into the landscape without altering the concept of the site.

The museum features an exhibition that covers the pre-Hispanic history of the state, focusing on the three most important cultures that inhabited Zacatecas.

It includes the Pedro Armillas Audiovisual Room, where a documentary is screened, providing a general view of Zacatecas' archaeology and the main archaeological research conducted in the region.

Throughout the exhibition, you can find a scale model of the La Quemada archaeological zone, vitromurals depicting different ecosystems, representative flora and fauna of the region, as well as various artifacts belonging to cultural groups such as Loma San Gabriel, Chalchihuites, and Valle de Malpaso. These artifacts include projectile points, monochrome ceramics, shell objects, and offerings made with turquoise.

The museum offers guided tours of both the museum and the archaeological site, workshops, a shop, and multipurpose spaces.
