Its historical origins date back to the foundation of what is now the city of Oaxaca.

Many Zapotecs and Mixtecs decided to live outside the urban area to avoid paying tribute, and some land was even distributed to them. This is how the town of the Most Holy Trinity of the Orchards was established.

The first chapel was built in the late 16th century, and over time, renovations and reconstructions resulted in the current temple.

The facade consists of a portal with a semi-circular arch flanked by two pilasters. It has two towers, each with a bell tower.

The interior has a Latin cross shape, and the sanctuary features a neoclassical altarpiece with two pairs of Corinthian columns.
