The Atotonilco hot springs are located northeast of the town, approximately 3 km away, at the foot of a hill on the banks of the Manialtepec River.

Upon arrival at the spring, a strong sulfur smell permeates the air due to the large amount of hot water gushing from the rocks.

The place has been adapted with a small pond where the water accumulates. The mineral properties of the water are believed to have healing properties.

Due to the temperature of the water, it is not possible to immerse oneself completely, but steam baths can be taken at the edge of the spring.

It can be reached on foot or by horseback.
