Ojo de Agua de Tlacotepec

Ojo de Agua de Tlacotepec is a recreational area centered around a freshwater spring surrounded by beautiful vegetation and near the ancient Zapotec fortress of Guiengola. The water is crystal clear and emerges from a cavity at thefoot of lush trees.

Along its course, rustic pools and wading areas have been built. The facilities complementing the recreational area include dressing rooms, restrooms, playgrounds, parking, areas for consuming food, and pathways.

Location

Magdalena Tlacotepec is located 305 kilometers from Oaxaca via Federal Highway 190 towards the Isthmus. After that, take a left turn in Juchitán de Zaragoza for 28 kilometers.
