Templo de la Concepción

This is the oldest convent in Mexico City, founded 20 years after the fall of Tenochtitlán.

In 1629, a flood destroyed the building, and it was rebuilt and expanded into several surrounding buildings.

With the Reform Laws, the convent was demolished, and only the temple remains with a classicist facade with semi-circular arches.

In front of the temple, there is a park, and in its center, you can find the Chapel of Concepción Cuepopan, with a baroque facade consisting of two levels.
