Parque Zoológico de Chapultepec
This zoo was inaugurated in 1910 and has been expanding its collection of exhibited animals since then. It covers an area of 17 hectares where 270 different species of animals from around the world are showcased.
Among the animals you can see are the bald eagle, gray kangaroo, caracal, California condor, spotted hyena, hippopotamus, jaguar, lemur, African lion, snow leopard, orangutan, brown bear, giant panda, penguin, and giraffe, among many others.
Within the zoo, there is a charming train that takes visitors on tours throughout the park.
You can also visit the Botanical Garden, which features a wide variety of plants and trees from around the world.
The zoo offers recreational activities aimed at providing visitors with more information about the species inhabiting the planet. It is worth checking the options and schedules of the Educational Area of the Zoo, as well as guided tours, to enhance your experience at the zoo.
