This construction was part of the 16th-century Ex Convent of the Assumption.

Its exhibition consists of over 1,300 pieces from different parts of the world, such as the Americas, Africa, Oceania, and the Orient, including furniture, pre-Hispanic objects, and other works of art.

It features 14 rooms that showcase works by renowned artists such as Rufino Tamayo, Frida Kahlo, Prendergast, Marsden Hartley, among others.

There is also a café in the main courtyard, and they offer lectures and art history courses.
